My Word for 2015

This year I decided my word for 2015 is Prepare!

I feel that I need to Prepare for the good and bad.

Prepare for happy things Disney Cruise, finding a new job or look at opportunities to work for home .
Prepare for hard times by saving money and getting my food storage in order.
Prepare my kid for adulthood by making sure she has life skills.
Prepare for retirement by saving money, 401K and taking care of myself.

Prepare, Prepare, Prepare.

Did you choose a word or phrase for 2015?

My 5's for 2015

I normally don't do resolutions or goals and I end of thinking I didn't get anything accomplished.

2014 was an absolute great year for me in spite of getting laid off at the end of 2013 and working at a job that has me praying everyday before I go in and jumping for joy every Friday.

I decided to change things up this year and actually make some goals/resolutions

1. Pay off the Disney Cruise by December 2015
2. Save $1000
3. Get Financial Paperwork in Order
   a. will
   b. stick to a budget
   c. set up a budget binder
   d. set up files
4. Get a side hustle - Avon, Virtual Assistant, A actual PT
5. Volunteer at least once a month and make the kid go with me.

So those are my goals for 2015.

Do you make resolutions/goals for the New Year? If yes, what are they?

bits of my weekend

My weekend began on Thursday this year. Woo Hoo no work and putting up with all the irritants and best of all since I wasn't hosting, I made a couple of pies and sides and called it a day.

Spent Thanksgiving with my sisters, Mom and Aunt plus the kidlets.

We stayed until midnight and the baby ending up spending the night.

Since I am never in a hurry to be around a mob of people, I waited to Friday afternoon to score a great deal on boots for the kiddo. She had ruined her boots from Back to School, but we will revisit not taking care of your crap on another post.

Saturday I declared it do what Mom wants to do day. I went to At Home (former Garden Ridge) and window shopped, saw Left Behind at the Dollar Movies, if you have never read the books, it will be enjoyable. If you read the book, it is absolutely nothing like the book. You have been warned.
I then fed into my craving of going to Chipotle. I loved not asking the kid what she wanted to do. I plan to do this more often

Sunday was church and an ornament exchange with a friend.

All and all a terrific weekend.

How was yours?
